Aquaculture
Aquaculture on the wiki is categorized as Infrastructure that allows for the production of food (usually Fish, Shellfish or Macroalgae) in aquatic enviroments. In the Salish Sea most aquaculture infrastructure is in or near Beaches or Embayments. Because of its intersection with Public Trust Resources, aquaculture is subject to Regulation, often in the form of leases from Washington State Department of Natural Resources or permits under state Hydraulic Project Approval or federal Endangered Species Act or related to Water Quality under state and federal authorities.
